Born in southern Colorado, Dawn grew up in a small town where her passion for growing, preparing and eating real food started in her backyard. From sneaking peas straight off the vine in the garden, to joining her dad in the meat shed to prep a year’s worth of beef and deer for the family – she credits this hands-on experience with her love for cooking with fresh, local ingredients.

It was only as she got older, that she gained full appreciation for another aspect of her childhood: weekends with her great grandmother who tended to the health of her kids and grandkids with food, herbs, tinctures, apple cider vinegar and other natural remedies – but always lots of apple cider vinegar! This month, we are highlighting Dr. Joshua Conzo. He has been working in the functional medicine field since completing his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2012. His love of functional medicine and nutrition began when dealing with his own family and personal autoimmune conditions and seeing where traditional medicine was missing the underlying cause. His focus areas include autoimmune disease, endocrinology, digestive health, pediatrics, functional neurology, and childhood neuro-developmental disorders. He completed advanced training as a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) at the Functional Medicine University, further developing his knowledge and skills in diagnostic testing and healing based on treating the root cause of disease.

Dr. Josh has also completed training under the Kharrazian Institute – specialties included functional endocrinology, functional brain chemistry, and lab analysis. To continue his training, he has completed over 300 hours towards his American Clinical Board of Nutrition Diplomate (DACBN) and is board eligible and is currently enrolled and almost completed in the Chiropractic Internist Diplomate (DABCI). He has completed his hours and training for the Fellowship of Childhood Neurodevelopmental Disorders and is soon to take his exam.

Dr. Conzo has always had an interest in children and developmental delays which led him into Dr. Robert Melillo’s childhood developmental fellowship. After completing the fellowship testing, he will be Melillo Method trained, as well. Dr. Melillo is world renowned for work with autism and ADHD and has written many books explaining these disorders.

When he isn’t helping patients, he spends time with his beautiful wife and two little boys outdoors.

Carleen was born and raised in northern Colorado. She graduated from aesthetics school at The White Magnolia Advanced Skin Institute in July 2022. She has always been passionate about encouraging women to be free in their own skin and feel confident and comfortable with the beauty they’ve been given.

When Carleen was a little girl, she was always playing “spa” on her friends at sleepovers; even at a young age, she knew she wanted to help people feel their most radiant!

She holds a National Certification through the NCCAOM as well as licensure through the state of Colorado. I went to Southern California School of Massage June of 1996 and worked immediately at Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa where I practiced Swedish/American, Deep Tissue, Prenatal and stone massage along with many body treatments. Once realizing that the skin care portion of Cosmetology was lacking, she returned a year later to become an Esthetician.
